The Blue Ridge League is headed to Greenwood!

This week, the league announced the addition of a new franchise at historic Legion Field in Greenwood, South Carolina, beginning with the 2026 season under a multi-year facility agreement with Greenwood County. The soon-to-be-named Greenwood club will compete as a full BRL member, bringing high-level collegiate wood-bat baseball back to one of the Carolinas’ most storied ballparks.

Legion Field previously served as home to the affiliated Greenwood Braves (1968–1979) and Greenwood Pirates (1981–1983), hosting future Major League standouts including Dale Murphy, Bruce Benedict, Dusty Baker, Brett Butler, Brian Snitker, and more.
